About Us

The Ohio Chapter functions through the coordinated activity of its individual members, for the support and improvement of the practice of surgery in the state. The Chapter relies completely on the energy and initiative of interested Ohio surgeons. We welcome the participation of any interested individuals.

A Message from the Ohio Chapter President:

Dear Ohio Chapter ACS membership,

I hope you are all enjoying some form of a break this summer. For those of you who were able to attend, it was great to see you at the Annual Meeting in May!

As the new President of the Ohio Chapter of the ACS, I look forward to supporting the surgeons of Ohio in this capacity. The Chapter's leadership is dedicated to offering you the essential resources, tools, and educational opportunities needed to deliver the high standard of surgical care that the residents of Ohio deserve. Our advocacy work will continue to amplify the voices of our state's surgeons and prioritize the well-being of our residents in legislative endeavors.

Along with the above stated goals, our intention during the coming years will be to further engage the practicing surgeons in the State of Ohio and work to bring more opportunities for students, residents, and fellows to present timely research within our region. I encourage surgeons to reach out to me or other members of the Chapter leadership regarding issues, ideas, or opportunities within Ohio for us to influence high quality patient care and surgical principles.

With this in mind, we realize that your participation in Chapter events is critical to our success. Please mark your calendar for next year’s Annual Meeting to be held in Columbus, OH on May 9th and 10th, 2025. I look forward to speaking with many of you in the coming year.
