Surprising hurdle for Ed FitzGerald: 55 percent of Northeast Ohio voters still don’t know who he is  CLEVELAND, Ohio — New polling numbers from Quinnipiac University show a double-digit lead for Republican Gov. John Kasich — not entirely surprising, given that Kasich enjoyed a similar advantage in May.

Change in federal trauma definition would help burn centers like Akron Children’s Hospital’s  An expected change in the federal definition of trauma could bring more money to help Akron Children’s Hospital care for burn victims.  U.S. Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, toured the pediatric hospital’s C.R. Boeckman Regional Burn Center on Wednesday to discuss a bill that adds burn injuries under the trauma designation.
