West Penn names new cardiac surgery chief

Dr. Walter E. McGregor, formerly of Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, has been named chief of the Division of Cardiac Surgery at West Penn Hospital. He is expected to join the West Penn Allegheny Health System on March 1.

Dr. McGregor is a former fellow in cardiothoracic surgery and research fellow at Allegheny General Hospital. He is board-certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.

Good luck to Ohio Chapter member Dr. McGregor with his new position!
